When a phone on the stand attempts to record a conversation, ultrasonic interference can introduce strong noise into the microphone signal, making the captured audio difficult to understand. Nearby smartphones and recording devices may also experience microphone interference within an approximate range of 3–6 feet, depending on the surroundings and device.
